If you watch this film Shama Parwana (1954), Rafi does join Asha and Suraiya in this song. The song begins with Rafi singing for Shammi Kapoor “Ae baad-e-saba yeh khail tha kaya”, and then Suraiya joins in “Mauj khamosh hai”. However, in most CD and cassette versions it is Suraiya-Asha duet and they chopped off the Rafi’s part. This reminds me of another song from Humlog (1951) – Chali ja chali ja. On most versions it appears as Lata’s solo, but in the film itself G.M. Durrani also joins Lata when he sings “Chali ja chali ja” picturized on Balraj Sahni.
